Recently we took an epic trip out west from Illinois. We drove through a total of 10 states! It was an amazing adventure, but was also exhausting being in the car so much. Lucky for us we had a cure for our driving fatigue–The Maven Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
Located in the heart of the Dairy Block in LoDo, literally across the street from Coors Field, The Maven is in an outstanding location in Downtown Denver. The area around the hotel is a world-class destination for shopping, dining, hospitality and local business.
There was a Colorado Rockies baseball game the night of our stay so the area was full of energy and excitement. We couldn’t wait to see what was in store for us.
Entering the lobby was like walking into an art gallery. There were so many pieces of art to view I couldn’t decide where to look. Even with the sleek gallery-type atmosphere, I felt comfortable and welcome.
People were enjoying cocktails, reading books, and just relaxing in the many seating areas. At check in, the staff was courteous and friendly. It is so nice to be greeted with a smile after 10 hours on the road. We quickly got our key and were on the way up to our 8th floor room. 
Coming off the elevator, we saw the coolest swing chairs. Yes, these were for adults too! How fun is that! I knew our room was going to be special as even the room numbers were like artwork.
This was certainly not your average hotel room. The room was outstanding. The Maven literally had me rethinking by bathroom at home. I would love to have the sliding barn door, the enormous counter space, and huge shower. That alone made me happy.
Once I sat on the bed I knew it would be a great night for sleeping. So comfortable! There are 172 rooms and suites that will meet the needs of any guest. The room had plenty of outlets, which was important for charging all of our devices. That is a feature we always look for at various hotels.
The Maven is within walking distance to so many places to grab a bite to eat or locally brewed beer. That is what makes the location so perfect. The Kachina Southwestern Grill and the Poka Lola Social Club are both great places to meet family, friends or business associates.
